Basketball Game Preview: Jamestown Muskies vs. Mercer Mustangs

Jamestown is 0-10 against Mercer since January of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Jamestown Muskies will be playing at home against the Mercer Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Jamestown is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They took a 61-42 bruising from Hickory.

Meanwhile, Mercer came up short against Sharpsville on Thursday and fell 50-43.

Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Mercer, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Jamestown ended up a good deal behind Mercer in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 55-38. Can Jamestown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
