Baseball Recap: Oglesby Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oglesby can now relate to. They came up short against the Gordon Longhorns on Thursday, falling 13-2. The Tigers were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the five matchups prior), but the Longhorns' pitchers proved too tough.

Camden Webb was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Oglesby's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-10. As for Gordon, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Longhorns beat Oglesby by a score of 10-6 later that day.
