Basketball Recap: Poway Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Poway needed a changed in momentum after dropping ten straight games and they got it from Emily Farr. The Poway Titans walked away with a 60-50 victory over the Fallbrook Warriors on Tuesday thanks in part to Farr, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 23 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 20 games she's played.

Riley Walsh was another key player, putting up six points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Those seven assists gave her a new career-high.

Fallbrook lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emery Pizzo, who went 8 for 17 en route to 16 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Thomas, who posted 17 points and three steals.

Poway's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-16. As for Fallbrook, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10.

Poway has already played their next matchup (against Westview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fallbrook has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Del Norte.
