Basketball Recap: Calvary Chapel Takes a Loss

Calvary Chapel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 88-47 on January 14th.

Godinez Fundamental's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brianna Lopez, who posted seven points in addition to nine rebounds and seven assists. Lopez is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Valeria Arcos was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Calvary Chapel's record now sits at 6-20. As for Godinez Fundamental, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-11.
