Soccer Recap: Dana Hills Comes Up Short

Dana Hills lost against La Mirada back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dana Hills Dolphins fell just short of the La Mirada Matadores by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Dolphins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 755th, while the Matadores are ranked 322nd).

Dana Hills' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for La Mirada, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dana Hills will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Beckman at 5:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Dana Hills' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. La Mirada will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Sunny Hills at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. La Mirada's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Sunny Hills' offense will have their work cut out for them.
