Softball Recap: South Shelby Takes a Loss

South Shelby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to the Harrisburg Bulldogs. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Gracynn Lanpher made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

South Shelby's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Harrisburg, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Shelby will head out to square off against Centralia at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Harrisburg, they will square off against New Bloomfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
