Softball Recap: Hart County's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Hart County hadn't done well against Stephens County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 4-1 win over the Indians. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Indians on September 9th, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Chesnee Strickland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.

At the plate, Kinsley Duncan was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloie Lack, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Hart County's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-14. As for Stephens County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hart County will challenge East Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.07 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Stephens County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rabun County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
