Soccer Recap: Midtown Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Midtown proved they can win big last Friday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat Pace Academy by a goal, winning 3-2. The win was all the more spectacular given Midtown's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Pace Academy is ranked 20th).

Midtown pushed their record up to 7-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four contests. As for Pace Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.

Coming up, Midtown will welcome M.L. King at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pace Academy, they will head out to square off against Drew at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
