Basketball Recap: North Monterey County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pajaro Valley last Friday, North Monterey County came back down to earth. The North Monterey County Condors took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pacific Grove Breakers. The defeat continues a trend for the Condors in their matchups with the Breakers: they've now lost three in a row.

North Monterey County's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Pacific Grove, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

North Monterey County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pacific Grove at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Pacific Grove, they will challenge Terra Nova at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
