Soccer Game Preview: St. Monica vs. Ramona Convent

The St. Monica Mariners are taking a road trip to face off against the Ramona Convent Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Monica's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

St. Monica is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against St. Anthony on Thursday. St. Monica took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Anthony.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Ramona Convent's offense. They came up short against Bishop Montgomery on Saturday, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 927th, while the Knights are ranked 350th).

Ramona Convent has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-1 record this season. As for St. Monica, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1.
