Softball Recap: Heavener Takes a Loss

Heavener managed to slip by Westville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolves came up short against the Yellowjackets on Tuesday, falling 15-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wolves, who until this match were averaging four runs allowed.

Heavener has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Westville, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Heavener will square off against Webbers Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Westville, they will take on Coweta at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday.
