Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Credo

Credo extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Maya Leach. The Credo Gryphon simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs 47-10 thanks in part to Leach, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high.

Credo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.8 points per game. As for Summerfield Waldorf, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Credo will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Roseland Collegiate Prep at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Credo is facing Roseland Collegiate Prep at the right time seeing as Roseland Collegiate Prep is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Summerfield Waldorf will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Pacific Union College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Summerfield Waldorf's defense has only allowed 24.2 points per game this season, so Pacific Union College Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.
