While Papillion-LaVista South's win against Elkhorn South wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans had just enough and edged out the Storm 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Titans have posted since August 23rd.

Hailey Rasmussen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits.

At the plate, Papillion-LaVista South let Jo Warriner and Kaitlyn Herd run wild. Warriner went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Herd went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Those two runs gave Warriner a new career-high.

Papillion-LaVista South now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Elkhorn South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Papillion-LaVista South will host Omaha South on Thursday. As for Elkhorn South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elkhorn North at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
