Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Pueblo Central's 13th in Last 16 Outings

After only two runs in their last contest, Pueblo Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against Mead on Saturday. The Wildcats blew past the Mavericks 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sophia Perez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Norah Montes, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Pueblo Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mead only posted an OBP of .118.

Pueblo Central is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. As for Mead, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Pueblo Central nor Mead have any future games scheduled.
