Soccer Recap: Peachtree Ridge Comes Up Short

Peachtree Ridge was the 1-0 winner over North Gwinnett when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Peachtree Ridge fell 2-0 to North Gwinnett on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Peachtree Ridge came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 50th, while North Gwinnett are ranked 192nd).

Peachtree Ridge has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. North Gwinnett's win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peachtree Ridge will venture away from home to take on Cherokee Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peachtree Ridge is facing Cherokee Bluff at the right time seeing as Cherokee Bluff is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Gwinnett, they will head out on the road to challenge Berkmar at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Gwinnett will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Berkmar will have lost four straight heading into Thursday's match.
