Volleyball Recap: Sadie Tatum and Sophie Tatum Secure Win for Northwest Rankin

Northwest Rankin can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Union Yellowjackets as they made off with a 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Northwest Rankin's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-17, 25-15.

Northwest Rankin was led to victory by Sophie Tatum and Sadie Tatum. Sophie had 14 digs and three aces, while Sadie had 18 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Sophie has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Northwest Rankin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union only served one.

Northwest Rankin now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 27-11.

Northwest Rankin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Gulfport on the 7th. As for Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Jefferson Davis County on the 4th.
