Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) and the visiting Union Yellowjackets (Union, MS), observed Northwest Rankin's volleyball team top Union by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Northwest Rankin improves its record to 15-14 on the season. The Cougars travel to Gulfport (Gulfport, MS) to encounter the Admirals in a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 7. The Admirals go into the battle with a record of 25-14. Gulfport lost 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS)

The Yellowjackets now own a 27-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson Davis County for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. Union will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to North Forrest (Hattiesburg, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-12.
