Mississippi High School Volleyball - Pearl overwhelmed by Northwest Rankin

Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Pearl Pirates (Pearl, MS), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Northwest Rankin advances its record to 8-3 on the season. The Cougars host Petal (Petal, MS) to face the Panthers in a Class 7A Region 3 test on Tuesday, August 26. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 10-8. Petal won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Lake (Lake, MS)

The Pirates now sport a 0-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Florence for a non-league test on Saturday, August 23. Pearl will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 1-1.
