Softball Recap: Ola Mustangs vs. Northgate Vikings
Ola dropped to 18-5 on Thursday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins on the road. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-0 to the Northgate Vikings, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in September.
As for Northgate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-7. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 18 games by six runs or more so far this season.
For Northgate's part, they got a great performance from Ella Coburn as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Makenzie Khaler was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellie Nalin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
As of now, neither Ola nor Northgate have any future games scheduled.
