Softball Recap: Hermann's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

If Hermann was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of St. Pius X on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats came up short against the Wright City Wildcats on Monday, falling 15-7. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Delilah Nobel made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Molly Scheer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.

Hermann's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Wright City, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hermann will take on New Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wright City, they will welcome Van-Far at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
