Port St. Joe had won two straight games and Zay Jenkins did his part to make it three on Friday. The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks enjoyed a cozy 62-47 win over the Franklin County Seahawks thanks in part to Jenkins, who went 10 of 18 on his way to 27 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Jayden Reese was another key player, putting up four points and six boards. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played.

Franklin County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sadiq Jones, who posted 15 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ja'Michael Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Port St. Joe is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Franklin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.

Port St. Joe will face off against Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Port St. Joe's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while Covenant Christian has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road. As for Franklin County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-34 victory against Liberty County on the 25th.
