Basketball Recap: Pacifica Comes Up Short

Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 60-28 loss at the hands of the Troy Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Mariners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 990th, while the Warriors are ranked 376th).

Pacifica's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Troy, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pacifica will face off against Brea Olinda at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brea Olinda is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season. As for Troy, they will challenge St. Margaret's at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
