Soccer Game Preview: Madison Park Academy vs. Oakland

The Madison Park Academy Trojan-Warriors will face off against the Oakland Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Madison Park Academy has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Oakland will arrive with six straight wins.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Madison Park Academy's offense. They lost 6-0 to Fremont on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Oakland's game on Wednesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. They never let Oakland Tech II onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won four matchups by more than three goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Oakland has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those eight games. As for Madison Park Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
