Basketball Recap: Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic Takes a Loss

Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic lost against Neumann-Goretti back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic Friars/Pandas were dealt a 79-39 defeat at the hands of the Neumann-Goretti Saints. While losing is never fun, the Friars/Pandas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Saints are ranked sixth).

Kamora Berry continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Neumann-Goretti, putting up 30 points. The dominant performance gave Berry a new career-high in points. Carryn Easley was another key player, earning 12 points and six assists.

Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Neumann-Goretti, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic will take on Lansdale Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Neumann-Goretti, they will square off against Archbishop Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neumann-Goretti is facing Archbishop Ryan at the right time seeing as Archbishop Ryan is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
