Soccer Recap: Valley Christian Starts off Right with Win over Monte Vista Christian

Valley Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs a 6-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Their offense was hitting Monte Vista Christian from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Grace Morton led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Monte Vista Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Valley Christian has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 victory against Santa Cruz on the 7th. As for Monte Vista Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against San Lorenzo Valley on the 6th.
