Baseball Recap: Angola Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Angola had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eastern Comets by a score of 4-1.

Jackson Steury made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Myles Steury, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Gavin Hunt was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Angola's record now sits at 22-6. As for Eastern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-11.

Angola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern, they will take on Rochester at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
