Baseball Recap: Creekside Comes Up Short

Midtown hit Creekside with a six-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Seminoles lost 12-5 to the Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Friday.

Takeevius Thornton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Amari McEachin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Creekside has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Midtown, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.
