Baseball Recap: Pelham Pythons vs. Hanover Marauders

Pelham had lost six straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 5-10 to make it seven. They fell 10-5 to the Hanover Marauders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pythons of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

As for Hanover, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games.

For Hanover's part, the team relied heavily on Alex Boone, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Boone has posted since back in April.

Coming up, Pelham will face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Pythons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Hanover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
