Soccer Game Preview: Willows vs. Winters

Willows is 0-10 against Winters since February of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Willows Honkers will host the Winters Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Willows took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They never let Williams onto the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Genesis Calderon and Gabriela Cano scored both of Willows' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Winters came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bears 8-0. Considering the Warriors have won nine games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Winters pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for Willows, their win bumped their record up to 2-11-3.
