Mount Vernon kept a clean sheet against St. Francis on Friday. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 9-0 victory. Considering Mount Vernon have won four games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Mount Vernon's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three contests. As for St. Francis, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Mount Vernon wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Paideia on the 22nd. As for St. Francis, they will square off against Wesleyan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
