Football Recap: Heights Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Heights extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost 35-14 to the Southeast Golden Buffalo. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Buffalo apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Although Heights took the loss, they still got scores from Christopher Bodney-Akpan and Chaylen Bodney.

As for Southeast, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

A big part of Southeast's victory came down to the chemistry between Mack Obar and his top target Will Obar. Mack rushed for 86 yards and one score while Will picked up 83 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Will a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Heights is set to challenge their familiar foe Bishop Carroll on Friday. Meanwhile, Southeast will square off against rival Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Friday.
