Soccer Game Preview: Cairo vs. Sherwood Christian Academy

The Cairo Syrupmakers will venture away from home to take on the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Cairo came up short against Peach County and fell 3-1. The loss was the Syrupmakers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Sherwood Christian Academy made sure to put some goals up on the board against Dougherty on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 5-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Dougherty with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elim Russell (2), Landon Chambless, Parker Underwood, and JP Cannon.

Sherwood Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cairo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
