Basketball Recap: Mt. Diablo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Concord last Thursday, Mt. Diablo came back down to earth. The Mt. Diablo Red Devils took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northgate Broncos on Monday. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Northgate got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Samantha Myhr out in front who posted 12 points and five boards. Maddison Sardelich was another key player, putting up six points and 14 rebounds.

Mt. Diablo dropped their record down to 14-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Northgate, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Mt. Diablo nor Northgate have any future games scheduled.
