Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Breckyn Wick and Ava Wroblewski Lead Ravenna to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centura, Ravenna was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Gibbon Buffaloes by a score of 2-0. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory last Saturday.

Leading Ravenna to victory were Ava Wroblewski and Breckyn Wick. Wroblewski had seven digs and two aces, while Wick had six kills and six digs. Wick is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last five games she's played. Ali Bock also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Ravenna is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-16 record this season. As for Gibbon, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-24.

Ravenna has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Arcadia/Loup City on the 16th. As for Gibbon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Centura on the 20th.
