Basketball Recap: Rocklin Comes Up Short

Rocklin lost against Del Oro back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rocklin Thunder were outmatched by the Del Oro Golden Eagles and fell 70-43. The Thunder just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Rocklin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rhyan Arreguy, who made all 5 shots she took for 10 points and eight rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 54.5% field goal percentage. Cara Murphy was another key player, putting up seven points.

Rocklin's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Del Oro, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Rocklin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-55 defeat against St. Francis on the 4th. As for Del Oro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 69-36 loss against Folsom on the 4th.
