Softball Recap: Seckinger Takes a Loss

Seckinger blew Walnut Grove out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Walnut Grove got their revenge. The Jaguars fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-4. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Milan Torres was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Megan Whitt also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Seckinger now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Walnut Grove, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Seckinger and Walnut Grove will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Jaguars are set to face off against their familiar foe Johns Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Walnut Grove will challenge rival North Oconee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
