Softball Recap: Beatrice Has No Trouble Against Malcolm

Beatrice won the last time they faced Malcolm and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Orangemen blew past the Clippers 11-3. The result was nothing new for the Orangemen, who have now won six matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Jada Berke made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.

In other batting news, Callie Schwisow was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Tana Antons, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

Beatrice was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Malcolm only posted a batting average of .333.

Beatrice has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Malcolm, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Beatrice has already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Seward on the 11th. As for Malcolm, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-1 loss against Central City on the 11th.
