Preview: Justin-Siena Braves vs. American Canyon Wolves
The Justin-Siena Braves will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the American Canyon Wolves at 5:30 p.m. Justin-Siena will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
In what's become a running theme this season, Justin-Siena gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 54-23 win over Petaluma at home. With Justin-Siena ahead 36-4 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Justin-Siena's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Washington led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. Washington has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Zapolski, who scored 21 points.
American Canyon suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Petaluma by a score of 44-42. American Canyon has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Justin-Siena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for American Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
Justin-Siena came up short against American Canyon in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 55-51. Thankfully for Justin-Siena, Jazmine Fontilla (who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
