Baseball Recap: Peru Victorious

The Peru Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Frontier Falcons 6-4.

Reis Bellar was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Peru's record is now 15-8. As for Frontier, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-6 record this season.

Peru will head out on the road to challenge Warsaw at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Warsaw has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Frontier, they will face off against Clinton Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gophers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
