Soccer Game Preview: Kerman vs. Central Valley Christian

The Kerman Lions are taking a road trip to challenge the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kerman will be strutting in after a win while Central Valley Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, Kerman had just enough and edged Kingsburg out 2-1. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Vikings are ranked 674th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Baylee Melgoza was the driving force of Kerman's attack as she scored both of Kerman's goals, bringing her season total up to nine goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Central Valley Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They lost 5-1 to Bakersfield Christian.

Central Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-3. As for Kerman, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-3.
