Football Game Preview: Fallston Cougars vs. Bel Air Bobcats + Official Tickets

Fallston is 1-8 against Bel Air since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cougars will take on the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Fallston is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Fallston didn't have too much trouble with Harford Tech as they won 32-14.

Fallston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Griffin, who rushed for 171 yards and one score on only 14 carries, and also threw for 104 yards and a pair of touchdowns. With that strong performance, Griffin is now averaging an impressive 110.6 rushing yards per game. Another back making a difference was Abi Archibong, who rushed for 216 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fallston was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 404 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 204 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Bel Air scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. The game between the Bobcats and Aberdeen didn't end well, with the Bobcats falling 36-22.

Fallston's record is now 4-1. As for Bel Air, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Fallston couldn't quite get it done against Bel Air when the teams last played back in September of 2024 as they fell 27-20. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
