Basketball Recap: Rim of the World Takes a Loss

Rim of the World was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the El Modena Vanguards, falling 72-17. The Fighting Scots lost against the Vanguards in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-27 score last time.

Rim of the World's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Liv Bundra, who posted eight points, and Jordan Dever, who scored seven points. That was a full 41.2% of Rim of the World's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Rim of the World's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for El Modena, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Rim of the World wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-22 loss against Banning on the 11th. As for El Modena, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-26 victory against Los Amigos on the 12th.
