Soccer Recap: Rancho Mirage Comes Up Short

Rancho Mirage lost against La Quinta on January 13th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rancho Mirage Rattlers lost 5-0 to the La Quinta Blackhawks. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 780th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 275th).

Rancho Mirage has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for La Quinta, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rancho Mirage will head out to challenge Shadow Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Shadow Hills' last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. La Quinta has already played their next contest (against Xavier Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
