Nickerson has gone 6-1 against Lyons recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses dating back to last season for Nickerson and five for Lyons.

On Friday, Nickerson was beaten by Andale 45-3. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Indians are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Lyons played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 73-7 loss at the hands of Southeast of Saline. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-7.

Nickerson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lyons, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-5.

Nickerson didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lyons in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 26-21 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
