Basketball Recap: Eureka Wins Going Away Against Encinal

Eureka won the last time they faced Encinal and things went their way on Saturday too. The Loggers blew past the Jets 57-34. The Loggers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Encinal's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Leiloa Lyons, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards, and Laniya Le-Robinson, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. Le-Robinson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.

Eureka is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Encinal, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Eureka will venture away from home to square off against Analy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Encinal, they will head out to challenge Archie Williams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
