Basketball Recap: Davis Sr. Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Davis Sr. lost against McClatchy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Devils took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Lions are ranked 49th).

Despite the defeat, Davis Sr. saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lorelei Nachman posted 17 points along with six boards and five assists. Elliot Schapira was another key player, putting up four points and nine rebounds.

Davis Sr. has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for McClatchy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Davis Sr. didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-18 win against Cordova on the 12th. As for McClatchy, they have also already played their next game, a 68-65 victory against Antelope on the 12th.
