Softball Recap: Pope Takes a Loss

After flying high against Woodstock on Wednesday, Pope came back down to earth. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Lassiter Trojans by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Greyhounds have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Pope's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Lassiter, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pope will challenge Creekview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lassiter, they will take on Buford at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
