Basketball Recap: Warren County Falls to Vance Charter in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Warren County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 59-49 to the Vance Charter Knights on Thursday.

Warren County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nazir Shaw, who posted 21 points in addition to six assists and six boards. Jeremiahe Kearney was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

The victory (which was Vance Charter's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Warren County and Vance Charter will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Eagles see the court they'll take on Louisburg at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Vance Charter, their break will end when they face South Granville at 7:30 p.m. on December 5.
