Softball Recap: Spencer Comes Up Short

Spencer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mason City Mohawks. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly four runs.

Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Mason City, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13.

Spencer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 defeat against Storm Lake on the 26th. As for Mason City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-3 loss against Des Moines East on the 25th.
