Basketball Recap: Hughson Falls Despite Big Games from Kindal Barstow and Leah Hobby

Hughson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Ripon Christian Knights on the road by a 36-20 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-18 back in January.

Leah Hobby and Kindal Barstow certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Hobby posted five points and three steals, while Barstow had no points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Hobby a new career-high in assists (three).

Hughson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Ripon Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hughson has already played their next match (against Escalon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ripon Christian has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Ripon.
